So, this blog still exists, apparently...

Raspberry Pi: Episode 4 (A New Hobby)
Welcome back, stupid viewers! (That's a quote from Space Ghost Coast to Coast)
So, to finally make good on one of the originally-stated purposes of this blog, I'm going to start posting things about the Raspberry Pi-centric home automation project I've started.
This is a Raspberry Pi:
I'll have much more to say, and links and junk, in an upcoming post which will not be authored from my iPhone like this one is.

How To Tell a TV Series will be Terrible
"A (insert TV network) Original Series!"
even worse:
"A (insert TV network) Original Miniseries!"
The ultimate kiss of sucktasticness:
"A (insert TV network) Original Movie!"

Gig: Urban Ministries of Durham
I play bass in a small jazz combo that occasionally performs at the Urban Ministries of Durham soup kitchen, located at 410 Liberty St. We're playing tonight from about 6:30 to 8, so swing by and listen for a bit!

iPhone
Yesterday I skipped out from work just a tad early to go to the Verizon Store to buy an iPhone 4S and move my service from AT&T to Verizon.
Alas, iPhone 4Ses are on back-order, and I won't get mine till probably next week. But it's paid for now, and soon (oh, so soon!) I will be able to give AT&T the left foot of fellowship RIGHT IN THE KEYSTER.
In other news, I'm buying a house, and closing is next Wednesday. Squee! (A very manly squee, you know...)

Rant: Triangle Expressway
Trust North Carolina to take an ordinarily decent idea (toll roads) and screw it up just a little.

Restaurant Review: Arby's, Hillsborough Rd
Behold, the first of many reviews of area restaurants. Today's victim is Arby's, located at 3311 Hillsborough Rd, Durham, NC. I give it 4 out of 5. Hit "read more" for the full story!
Welcome!
Welcome to My Triangular Life.
I'm a resident of Durham, North Carolina, which forms one of the points of the region known as Research Triangle Park. The Triangle, as it's affectionately known, hosts a vast array of technological, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and research-oriented corporations (among others). The surrounding cities (Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill) host universities, businesses, churches, playgrounds, and—of course—people.
It's my hope to use this blog to talk about things I see around me in the greater Triangle area. By reading my blog, you'll see rants about things that piss me off, reviews of restaurants and businesses I visit, and whatever other nonsense rattling about in my head that I decide to foist upon you.
So! Thanks for reading. Tell your friends about me. Leave comments. Also, breathe in and out regularly; I find it to be a rather important habit to form early on.
